Our History
The Albert Hotel is located in the picturesque town of Monto, on Queensland's Country Way, the Burnett Highway. Monto is the prefect stopover for travellers and an ideal base to explore the local area, including the Monto Art Trail, Cania Gorge, and Kalpowar tunnels. The Albert Hotel was built in 1929, originally as a homestay servicing the farms in the surrounding region.
Successive owners have retained the classic country pub charm, whilst adding modern updates to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. With a lively front bar with regular live music, laid back Bistro, beer garden teaming with greenery and comfortable accommodation, the Albert Hotel is your ideal stop for a day or a week! Your Biker-Friendly Stopover
The Albert Hotel Monto frequently hosts groups of bike riders (pedal and motor). We have secure, lock-up bike storage with charging for e-bikes to secure your bike during your stay.
